A dream that began by chance 20 years ago!

We are Valerio and Vincenzo, the owners of MammaMia.
 
Although we were born in the same city in Italy, our paths only crossed here in Dresden almost twenty years ago. We were both boys, not yet of age, and met at work in the same restaurant. We immediately hit it off and decided from the very first moment that one day we would open an Italian restaurant.
 
Not the classic Italian restaurant!
 
We wouldn't make pizza or cook the great classics of Italian cuisine, and we wouldn't make any compromises. On the contrary - we would concentrate on one product - fresh PASTA! Twenty years later, we had the opportunity to realise this dream, and today it has become a reality.
 
MammaMia is an Italian restaurant whose pride and joy is fresh pasta! It's homemade, fresh every day and made from raw materials of proven quality and traceability - we source our flour from a local mill that grinds the best flour for us!

What you will find on our menu is what we cook in Italy with the same philosophy and care, simple but never banal dishes based on Italian tradition and the recipes of our mothers and grandmothers. To complete our now famous fresh PASTA, you will find delicious starters, excellent second courses and our selection of homemade desserts, all homemade. And finally on the subject of wine: we have selected only excellent Italian wine for you, only in small bottles (0.75 litres) to guarantee you quality and Italian tradition.
